Ban IPL Tournament to save Cricket: Dr. Subramanian Swamy

I demand that the Government ban the IPL tournament forthwith since the game's collateral consequences are a degeneration of a civilized game of Cricket into a vulgar display of black money, money laundering, immorality, fraud, and mafia involvement, all converging into a serious national security threat to the country.

The ban could be lifted later on after barring from the management or ownership of teams all persons actively involved in the cinema world or who hold an elective office in politics. The recent incident of vulgar, unruly, rowdy behaviour of some of the players, owners, and politicians make it necessary to impose this ban for a brief period in order to lift the ban on the game.

Media Spreading Lies about Karthi Chidambaram suing Subramanian Swamy

Some portion of national media is spreading false information that Karthi Chidambaram, son of Union Home Minister, P Chidambaram has sued Dr. Subramanian Swamy and this media misdeed is revealed by the following press releases issued by Dr. Swamy.

Mr. Chidambaram senior should immediately resign from office and allow a free and fair investigation to be started against the father and son duo, who have scaled new heights in corruption in the government of Sonia Maino and Manmohan Singh.

It is very unfortunate that a section of media is bought over by Chidambarams and they tried to spread blatant lies that Karthi Chidambaram filed a defamation case against Dr. Swamy. later, they modified the statement and aired that the company of Karthi Chidambaram filed a defamation suit which is more ridiculous. Anyone having a minimum knowledge of defamation provision under Indian Laws know that only the aggrieved party can file such suit and since Dr. Swamy has clearly named the father and son duo for corruption and bribe receiving one wonders why the father and son duo are not filing a multi crore defamation suit unless what is alleged by Dr. Swamy is true.

I have issued instruction to my offices in Delhi and Chennai to throw any Legal Notice on behalf of any Chidambaram clan to throw it in the waste paper basket. The clan must go instead and file a case in court. Then I can cross examine the Chidambarams who are neck deep in corruption.

Media should stop taking MHA handouts and print wrong information that Karthi has already sued me. No such luck.

The threat of a defamation case issued yesterday by company officials on behalf of Mr. Karti Chidambaram with regard to my allegation of his involvement in the 2G Spectrum Scam is laughable. I would welcome an opportunity to cross-examine Mr. Karti Chidambaram in the court of law which will save me the trouble of approaching the Special 2G Spectrum court for filing a fresh private complaint. In the meantime I demand that the mother and son due of Ms Nalini Chidambaram and Karti Chidambaram to explain the number of trips they have made to Malaysia during 2005-2007, and whether the CEO or any other official of Maxis received them and put them in hotels. I once again demand that Mr. Chidambaram should be asked to immediately resign because no fair and free investigation can take place as long as he continues to be the Home Minister.

Is Vatican poking its nose in India's internal affair because of Sonia?

It is a matter of national shame that after Sonia Maino ascended on Delhi's throne, Vatican is increasingly interfering in India's internal matter and the puppet government of Manmohan Singh is observing "mauna vrata" on very serious issue of national security and pride.

It is surprising that Vatican has decided to intervene with the Indian Government to obtain the release of the two officers of the Italian Navy who were aboard the so-called Italian tanker and murder suspects in killing of two fishermen off the Kerala coast. These two officers are presently in custody in the guest house of the CISF Commandant, dining on wine and Italian food from a nearby five star hotel. They are in custody because they wantonly, recklessly and unprovoked fired on unarmed fishermen on the spurious plea that they were frightened that the fishermen may be pirates, thereby causing loss of life and great agony, pain and distress to the deceased fishermen's families.

However, where is the need for the Vatican to interfere in the internal affairs of Indian judiciary system? There is not even a fig leaf of a religious question because the fishermen who were killed were also Christians.

Hence I demand that the Government of India inform the Vatican to mind its own business. But if they still insist on interference, to snap diplomatic relations with the Vatican and close down their Embassy in Delhi.

Sikhs protest Sonia Maino's US visit for Cancer Treatment

A US based Sikh group, has approached US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton demanding the expulsion of Congress Party President Sonia Maino from the United States of America.

US laws prohibit entry into the US of any individual who, outside of the US, has ordered, incited, assisted or in any way participated in the commission of any act of torture or extra judicial killing. The Congress party had organized the genocide to avenge the assassination of the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, (Sonia Maino's mother-in-law) by her two Sikh bodyguards. Sonia Maino, the daughter of an Italian mason of Obrassano is now the most powerful person in India and opposition parties think the current PM, Manmohan Singh is nothing but her puppet.

Sonia Maino is "inadmissible" to the US because as President of the Indian National Congress party she has been actively covering up the Sikh genocide and shielding her party leaders who were key players in executing the atrocities of November 1984.

Sonia Maino is now on her second visit to US for treating her cancer although she has been tight lipped about it and keeping the country guessing about her illness. Also, she or her office has refused to give an account of the money being spent on her treatment in the United States. Though she and her family (son Rahul who holds an Italian passport in the name of Raul Vinci, daughter Priyanca aka Bianca and the all powerful son-in-law Robert Vadra) always talks about aam admi and India but surprisingly she could not rely on Indian doctors and treatment facility in India and preferred to be treated in the United States where the medical facilities are almost 50 times more expensive than in India's private hospitals.

The taxpayers are unnecessarily burdened and the same money what the government is spending could have treated 49 other cancer patients here where poor people are dieing even undiagnosed as the facilities are very few and the government money is mostly spent on VIPs and Gandhi dynasty.

We all pray for her speedy recovery and hope she need not go again to US for cancer treatment.

Dear Prime Minister:

I am concerned to read in today's newspaper that your Government has now issued a Letter of Intent to the French Dassault for purchase of about 126 fighter planes at a cost of the exchequer of over Rs.50,000 crores. Before you finalize the contract please consider that the same very plane was rejected by the Government of Switzerland in November, 2011. Switzerland preferred the Swedish Gripen type instead. Of course Dassault has now sought to reopen the matter by making a fresh offer which may be discussed by the Switzerland Upper House of Parliament on February 13, 2012.

I am given to understand that Dassault has not yet been able to sell a single Rafale fighter jet abroad. Moreover if it does not receive the Indian contract it will have to wind up the production of the said plane as being unviable economically to produce. Further, after much negotiations and perhaps other machinations I believe that the price quoted by Dassault is below the average cost of production of the Rafale in France and hence the sale could not be considered as a commercial transaction. On the other hand, if there are some collateral advantages in the political field to be reaped by buying such a plane which are not in demand outside France, it would be more opportune in the present context to buy F-18 from the United States where at this stage purchase by India will be received with gratitude by the large number of company workers in the aircraft industry who are suffering from the present recession in the United States.

Let me make it clear that I am not recommending particular plane but as the Supreme Court has held in a number of cases that when it comes to Government making a choice, the Court has to be satisfied that all alternatives were fairly considered and after having so considered the decision was made. In this particular

case since there have been frequent conversations between the French President's wife Carla Bruni of Italy with Ms Sonia Gandhi and her Italian family members, of which I am sure, a gist may have been made available to you in your capacity as the Prime Minister, to thus make the decision to pick Rafale as malafide.

Kindly review this matter and before confirming the Letter of Intent, which incidentally is not a legally enforceable document for the contract. I am ready to meet you at any time to provide you further information which may have been kept from you by your officials just as they kept you in the dark in the 2G Spectrum matter.

Dr. Subramanian Swamy dares Digvijay Singh to probe Batla House Encounter

It is surprising that the Congress General Secretary Mr. Digvijay Singh has held his own Party's choice for the Union Home Minister, namely, Mr. P. Chidambaram, responsible for denying a probe into the Batla House encounter.

Mr. Digvijay Singh, however, has been silent all these years on the genocide of Muslim youths in Hashimpura, (Meerut district) during May, 1987 when the Provincial Armed Constabulary of U.P. deliberately selected 40 Muslim youths of the Hashimpura area at around midnight, and trucked them to a canal called Gang Nehar near Moradnagar, and then shot each of them individually and threw their bodies into the canal. At that time the Union Minister of State for Home affairs, Mr. Chidambaram, a day before the genocide action had aerially surveyed the area with the then U.P. Chief Minister Mr. Veer Bahadur Singh. When I demanded an inquiry, it was refused to hide that it was a State sponsored genocide. Thereafter, in August 1987, I went on an indefinite fast at the Boat Club, which lasted seven days, before the then Prime Minister (and my good friend Rajiv Gandhi) acceded to my demand for inquiry.

I challenge Mr. Digvijay Singh to similarly sit on a fast unto death, for holding of a Commission of Inquiry, to find out the facts into the Batla House incident. Today, the people want action, not words for the press in such issues of human rights. Time has arrived for Mr. Digvijay Singh to prove his bonafides. We have had enough of his speeches. As an office bearer of a ruling party, he has no moral right just to emit hot air on such sensitive issues.

Rahul Gandhi Thrashed for making Cheap Remarks against Uma Bharti

I fully support BJP leader Uma Bharti's retort to the cheap remark of Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi that Uma Bharti has been parachuted into Uttar Pradesh. Uma Bharti is 100% Indian and her DNA analysis shows that she has the same genetic status as any person from U.P. or any other part of India. On the other hand the DNA of Mr. Rahul Gandhi is foreign and does not match the DNA of any Indian in any part of India. His hair sample can be tested for DNA.

Furthermore, Uma Bharti has been a political activist from the age of sixteen and has come up by her own strength and ability, whereas Rahul Gandhi has a poor academic record, has bad social habits and has been parachuted into Parliament by rigging at the elections in Amethi where no voter bloc is allowed to vote unless Rahul Gandhi is openly supported. Hence Rahul Gandhi has parachuted from Italy. India for him is a transit stop.

Sonia Manmohan Government shed Crocodile's Tears for Baby Falak

Baby Falak, the 2 year old poor child who was brought battered and bruised to All India Institute of Medical Sciences about 10 days back is still lying critical condition without much real hope but the government of Sonia Maino and Manmohan Singh is busy scoring brownie points with the active help of some TV channels.

Child abuse is rampant through length and breadth of India and the governments virtually have not done anything other than creating some bodies and channeling some funds (meant for misappropriation). These bodies take interest in child welfare as the last thing and the funds are mostly spent on peripheral expenses like office, stationery, travel and hospitality than on any concrete thing that can curb and deter child abuse.

Even after 64 years of independence we see more and more child labor, they are everywhere be it construction industry, or garage or even factories that deal with hazardous chemicals, fireworks and machinery. It is not limited to factories and industries, the politicians and bureaucrats who are supposed to act against the abusers are themselves party to it and that's why we see children organizing feasts for BJP workers (in Patna) and IAS officials and judges employing underage girls/boys for 12 to 14 hours household chores, cooking and cleaning.

Falak, even if she survives (she has suffered heat attacks and still in coma, her survival chance is 50%) will probably spend her life as a vegetable according to doctors at AIIMS; I am personally praying to God so that she peacefully passes away without needing to go through the hell that awaits her in this great country of Mahatma.

But as she struggles for her life, Falak is now a hot item for TRP of the TV channels and the Delhi CM, Sheila Dikshit has said that the government will do everything for Falak after the news was constantly aired on the channels (as if this is first case of child abuse after ages). Shelia and the government of Sonia Miano wants to show the aam admi of India that they are so caring but I request Sheila Ji that she need not spend scarce government money on a street child because her life means nothing to India and the money will be much better spent on the treatment on Sonia Maino or Priyaranjan Dasmunshi or other MPs and MLAs.

Shamelessly, the government makes promises for popularity and votes but Kargil is the best available example in recent memory of the blatant lies of politicians promising help. They haven't still disbursed all the compensations and pensions (which is as per service rule) to the families of the soldiers who laid their lives for the country. So, can we expect that this eunuch government will look after Falak for the rest of her life if she survives?

I think Sheila Dikshit should better organize a short ceremony where she can call Sonia Maino to pull the plug of Falak's life support machines at AIIMS - Falak's soul will bless the two women for doing finally something sincere for the welfare of a child. I wil personally suggest to play Italy's national anthem after the ceremony.

Sonia and Rahul Gandhi conspiring to destroy credibility of Manmohan Singh

The foreign inspired conspiracy of Ms Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi to destroy the credibility of their own appointed Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, by engineering the Lokpal Bill fiasco in the Rajya Sabha on December 29th requires to be condemned as treachery. Dr. Manmohan Singh should recall the other fiasco of the FDI-Walmart Retail Trade proposal, and this December 29th fiasco in the Rajya Sabha are a move to make him resign and to make way for the intellectually moribund Rahul Gandhi as PM. National interest now requires both the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and Finance Minister Mr. Pranab Mukherjee to come together and Indianise the Congress party.

A Roman Catholic clique of advisers of Sonia Gandhi are seeking to radicalize the situation in the country to enable a takeover of the levers of power in their grasp. The danger then is that India's long unbroken civilization may be ruptured and a concubine westernized culture imposed. Hence I urge both Dr. Manmohan Singh and Mr. Pranab Mukherjee to make a New Year's Resolution that they will work together to Indianise Congress and take necessary steps for this purpose so that this aim can be achieved by 15th August of 2012. Both these leaders should come to an understanding as to who then will be the Prime Minister and who will be the President of India. Patriotic MPs who represent the overwhelming majority in the Parliament will rally behind such a combination. The operational details of this plan will be worked out after the forthcoming UP elections and during the Budget session and be implemented before the Rashtrapati election in July 2012.

Indian Identity - Philosphical Issues and Current Version of History

I. INTRODUCTION

Since becoming free of British Imperialist rule in 1947, modern India's ideological space had been for the subsequent four and half decades circumscribed by an essentially a pro-Soviet Union and Left--leaning socialist, secular and ostensibly democratic framework,Philosophical issues were also debated within that framework, termed loosely as "Marxist".

The Left-leaning intellectuals saw the Indian identity in a geographical and not civilisationally or philosophically, as of a peninsular area created as a by-product of British Imperialism and colonisation, as a multi-national, multi-ethnic, and multi-lingual modern state. Any argument that India has an overriding civilizational identity was condemned as "communal" or "saffron". They advocated that secular focus required that history and the social dynamics be interpreted as economics or materialist driven.

The renaissance in thought initiated by Bankim Chatterjee, Sri Aurobindo, Swami Vivekananda, Dr. Ambedkar, and Mahatma Gandhi in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century in harmonizing the material growth and spiritual advancement, was aborted after 1950 when the Soviet Union's influence took hold in the academia and intellectual discourse. The Left version of Indian history was fundamentally no different from what Macaulay to Max Mueller had designed for a purpose.

But now a certain consensus is thus taking shape all over the world that material progress alone will not increase the feeling of well-being of a people. It has to blend with spiritual and implied moral values, that is values to make national development meaningful to the people.

Society of course as Swami Vivekanand observed, needs to eat and live tolerably well. Material progress is thus necessary, but it must not be an end in itself. We thus have to modify today's Globalisation phenomenon accordingly.

This is a fundamental philosophical issue, and the premise of our true national identity - the development of an integral human empowered to pursue material progress and one who does not sacrifice spirituality or the basic values of inter-personal relationship, moral values and environmental concerns.

We Indians have however been waffling on the question of identity now for over six decades.Since Independence from colonial rule, in 1947 Indians have been grappling with the question of "who are we"? This as-yet-unanswered question represents India's identity crisis.

We have now to call for a closure on this subject. The failure to date, to resolve this crisis, has not only confused the majority but confounded the minorities as well. However, without a resolution of the crisis, which requires an explicit clear answer to this question, the majority will never understand how to relate to the legacy of the nation, and to the minorities.

Minorities would understand how to adjust with the majority only if this identity crisis is resolved. In other words, the present dysfunctional perceptional mismatch in understanding of who are we as a people, is behind most of the communal tension and inter-community distrust in the country. It also weakens India's integrity.

In India, the majority is the conglomerate Hindu community which represents about 81% of the total Indian population, while minorities are constituted by Muslims [13%] and Christians [3%].

Sikhs, Jains, Parsis, and some other small religious groups, represent the remaining 3%. Though these groups are also considered minorities, but are really so close to the majority community in culture that they are considered as partners of Hindu society.

Unlike Islam and Christianity, these minority religions were born as dissenting theologies of Hinduism. They share the core concepts with Hindus such as re-incarnation, equality of all religions, and ability to meet God in this life. That they feel increasingly alienated from Hindu society nowadays is also the consequence of India's identity crisis.

II. PHILOSOPHICAL ISSUES OF INDIAN IDENTITY

From a study of nations that remain united and contrasted with those which have disintegrated, it seems that the crucial element for national integrity is the concept of "who we are" that the people within a geo-political boundary accept. This concept however has to be nurtured, renewed, continually enriched and given substance.

Such a concept however cannot be forced down the throats of a people as USSR and Yugoslavia demonstrates or allow the concept to derail a society as it did in Hitler's Germany. At the same time the concept cannot be amorphous, meaning all things to all men, and without a time frame for its acceptance.

Even in United States of America, a relatively young nation created by an influx of immigration from diverse countries, scholars have felt the need to define the identity of an American. Harvard Professor Samuel Huntington has penned a book titled Who Are We? [Penguin Books, India 2004] to define the American's identity as a "White Anglo-Saxon Christian who speaks English". It seems contrived since majority of Americans are perhaps not "White", but Huntington is emphatic.

However, Huntington's contribution is in seeing the two components of this identity that define it: Salience, which is the importance that the citizen attributes to national identity over the other many sub-identities. Second, Substance, which he calls as the "American Creed", is what the citizens think they have in common, and which distinguishes them from others of other countries.

Paraphrasing Dr.Huntington, the "American creed" is identified as (i) Anglo-Protestant work ethic (such as sticking to contracts, punctuality, word as bond, honouring IOUs etc.). (ii) Christianity-religious belief in God, in good being rewarded and evil being punished by Him. (iii) English language. (iv) Rule of law and equality before it. (v) Individualism and the pursuit of happiness.

Dr. Huntington quotes a 1931 judgment of the Supreme Court in which the apex Court held that US is a Christian nation, and hence he advocates that acceptance of that is part of the American creed. We shall apply the concepts of salience and substance to Indian identity.

Similarly, the British Prime Minister Cameron on December 17, 2011 was quoted by BBC as stating at Oxford that "UK is a Christian country and we should not be afraid to say so". Addressing a meeting on the 400th Anniversary of the King James's Bible, he called for a revival of traditional Christian values to counter Britain's "moral collapse", adding the slogan "live and let live" has too often come to mean "do what you please". Significantly, he also said that it was wrong to hold that "standing up for Christianity was somehow doing down other faiths".

We in India today do not have to conjure up a contrived identity as Huntington valiantly had to do, or issue dictums as Cameron. A century ago, Sri Aurobindo declared [as reproduced in India's Rebirth: Institut De Recherches Evolutives, Paris 1993]: "I write for those who acknowledge reason but do not identify reason with Western Materialism; who are sceptics but not unbelievers; who, admitting the claims of modern thought, still believe in India, her mission, her gospel, her immortal life and her eternal rebirth".

The battle to settle the answer to this question is on today between the Indian nationalist and the internationalist liberal. The latter deny that the Indians have an overriding identity of salience and substance.

Eminent philosophers and observers have also held so. India has thus always existed because of the Indian-ness [read: Hindutva as Substance of Huntington] of the people. "In all the fleeting centuries of history" holds Dr. Radhakrishnan in his work on Indian Philosophy, "in all the vicissitudes, through which India has passed, a certain marked identity is visible. It has held fast to certain psychological traits which constitute its special heritage, and they will be the characteristic marks of the Indian people so long as they are privileged to have a separate existence".

Hindu-ness or Hindutva, judged by Huntington's criteria, has been our identifying characteristic, by which we have been recognized world-wide. The territory in which Hindus lived was known as Hindustan, i.e., a specific area of a collective of persons who are bonded together by this Hindu-ness. That is the Substance.

The Salience of Huntington thus was given religious and spiritual significance by tirth yatra, kumbh mela, common festivals, and in the celebration of events in the Ithihasa, viz., Ramayana and Mahabharata. That is why all great mass movements in India have been inspired by spiritual persons, or by invoking spirituality as did Mahatma Gandhi when he made Ram Rajya as a goal, and Gita as the basis of his actions.

Even Jawaharlal Nehru, no Hindu chauvinist, acknowledged this fact in on two occasions: First in his 1948 Convocation Address to the Aligarh Muslim University wherein he averred that Hindus and Muslims have the same ancestry, and Second, in his foreword to one of Dr. Karan Singh books as follows: "It is significant to note that great political mass movements in India have had a spiritual background behind them".

But the towering philosophers of the 19th and 20th centuries have affirmed the cultural oneness of India. I can do no better than quote Dr. Ambedkar from his paper presented in the Department of Anthropology seminar of Columbia University in 1916, and titled "Castes in India, Their Mechanism, Genesis and Development" [ published in Indian Antiquary, Vol XLI, May 1917, p81-85].

On page 84, he concludes as follows: "Ethnically all people [may] be heterogeneous. [But] it is the unity of culture that is the basis of homogeneity. Taking this for granted, I venture to say that there is no country that can rival the Indian peninsula with respect to the unity of its culture. It has not only a geographic unity, but it has over and above all a deeper and much more fundamental unity - the indubitable cultural unity that covers the land from end to end".

III. CURRENT INDIAN HISTORY

British imperialist inspired historians and their tutees, and the Communists in tandem, have propounded India as a multi-nation artificial construct and as an administrative by product of colonialism. This is the current version in our history textbooks.

The roots of Aryan-Dravidian theory, the racial basis of varna, the artificial construction of linguistic differences, and the Hindu-Muslim cultural divide have been fostered by them.

The Aryan Dravidian theory is centered on the Max Mueller thesis that the Rig Veda was written no earlier than 1500 BC, and that carbon-dating of Indus Valley's Mohendajaro/Harappa first layer excavations place it as ending in 1500 BC. A pastoral society described in Vedas and a city civilization in the latter, could not be of the same people it is inferred.

"Arya" and "Dravida" were thus falsely given racial meaning.

More recently, Mr.Jonah Blank, an American journalist curious about this Hindutva, took a journey in 1991-92 from Ayodhya to Sri Lanka on the route taken by Lord Rama. He then wrote a book about titled: Arrow of the Blue-Skinned God - Retracing the Ramayana Through India [published by the well known Houghton Mifflin of Boston USA]. He writes: "India's land may be ruled by aliens from time to time, but never her mind, never her soul..... In the end, it is always India that does the digesting" [p.217]. He concludes: "But somehow a nebulous sense of "Indianness" does exist, and it binds together Gujaratis, Orissans, to Nagas who might seem to have nothing at all in common. Perhaps it is this elusive, undefinable [yet very real] link that has allowed the sub-continent's multitude of races to live in some rough semblance of harmony for four thousand years" [p.218].

The next mischievous division is the varna's colour/caste basis. Hinduism nowhere in its Sruti scriptures states varna is skin colour-based. Although varna means "colour", it was used by the rishis, Bhrigu and Baradwaja, as an insignia colour. Thus if Brahmin is "white", and Shudra is "black", the Kshatriya is "saffron" and Vaishya is "Green"!

Nor our languages are fundamentally different - Sanskrit vocabulary is common to all languages. Even Tamil has 40% or more words in common with Sanskrit. All our scripts are evolved from Brahmi script.

The recent DNA studies affirm that is Indians, i.e., Hindus+, Muslims and Christians are one indigenous people. Hindu culture and religion gives the geographical area its distinctiveness.

In the face of DNA evidence of all Indians, plus the reality established by modern science such as satellite imaging, of discovery of the walk trail of Sri Rama, Rama Setu, Sarasvati River, and the submerged Dwarka city, all held earlier as "mythical" to debunk the Vedas and Mahabharata, most independent scholars now have disowned the racial/migration theory of Aryans and Dravidians. Even the BBC and Romilla Thapar have now done so.

A social philosophy based thus on dharma is vitally needed at this moment in our history, because there is a dimension to the current national crisis, namely, the moral decay and the decline of character in our society which if not stemmed, will slowly poison to death our nation.

This decay and decline is visible in every aspect of our life - politicians defecting for office and cash, bureaucrats taking bribes, teachers selling exam questions, students passing by cheating, businessmen adulterating products, lawyers cheating clients, doctors betraying their patients etc.

Consequent to this decay is the wave of dangerous cynicism amongst the youth. A renaissance of values in society has thus to take place.

IV. CONCLUSION

1. These then are the core task today: to know the philosophical and civilisational basis of our identity, through a correct perception of our history, and to reform our society on that basis.

2. To achieve such a reform and usher a renaissance, of course, requires a complete de-falsification in the current Indian history, rejecting that portion that has been deliberately contrived by British imperialists and their compradors, and to correct the currently perceived linkages to our past.

3. Thus unless we settle these philosophical issues and answer the factual questions arising in the current version of our history, clearly, finally, unambiguously, and authoritatively, as to who we are and what we were, the modern Indian nation will flounder, flip-flop, and generally be devoid of healthy patriotism, and hence under an intellectual existential siege..

4. Consequently, a de-falsified fact-checked history of India based on Indian sources which is devoid of gloss on the truth of our long civilisational experience and reality of Hindu, Buddhists, Islamic and Christian interactions, is vitally necessary.

5. I congratulate Professor Bal Ram Singh of U. Mass and Rajiv Malhotra for "being different", and thus giving us a hope that such a history of India would be written by Indians for Indians
